SOS Services

Shelter Our Sisters (SOS) is the only private, non-profit agency dedicated to sheltering Bergen County's women and children who are victimized by domestic violence. Shelter Our Sisters responds to the critical need to provide for safety and basic needs for this population by providing 24-hour emergency shelter and support services. The shelter facility is a forum for growth that enables victims to make changes based on their strengths and options, as well as with a heightened sense of self-esteem and empowerment.

As the only program of its kind in Bergen County, SOS is devoted to teaching women and their dependents how to live free from violence, and to providing a strong foundation for healing and gaining self-reliance. SOS fosters healing and change, helping to stop the generational cycle of violence.
