Follow-Up Program

Three months in the emergency shelter, or even one year in the transitional housing is not always enough to establish a new life for a victim, away from her abuser. The follow-up program provides continued counseling and case management to women who made the transition from SOS programs. A supportive, caring follow-up counselor can provide the trusting link necessary to help these women successfully reintegrate themselves into their communities. The follow-up counselor provides former clients with the following: telephone counseling, household management skills, referrals for children’s services, individual counseling, legal advocacy, court accompaniment, and transportation assistance.
