Individual Volunteer Activities

• Support Service Volunteer - Answer hotline, provide client assistance and office support.
  
  
• Special Events or Fundraisers - See our Events Calendar.
  
  
• Childcare Services - i.e. tutoring, childcare, and group activities.
  
  
• Mentoring - Establish a one-on-one relationship with a client outside the shelter as an additional support source.
  
  
• Community Awareness Events - Help represent SOS to the community in various situations as the need arises.
  
  
• Client Transportation and Furniture Moving - On call basis.
  
  
• Legal Advocacy - Provide emotional support to clients by court accompaniment or being present during the obtaining of a restraining order.
  
  
• Member of the Board of Trustees - Policy making board responsible for monthly and community meetings. Please forward resume if interested.
  
  
• Professional Services - lend your special skills to help benefit our clients, i.e. attorney, mechanic, tutor, massage, carpenters, painters, etc.
